Help with mid-century modern

Probably should have split this up-- bear with me...

Just purchased a terrific cedar-sided mid-century flat-roof slab house in the northeast. A few dilemmas:

1. The floors are a mess- the top floor is a hodge-podge of strip oak and laminate. We'd like to do wood, but wonder what would be the best material for the modern style of the house?

2. The bottom floor is a cheap travertine with design inlay def wrong for the house. thinking of some type of bluestone or slate. Need something durable, easy to install, easy to clean, tolerant of water, etc (just in case! No basement!) Thoughts? Suggestions on something at a good price?

3. We'll need to redo the decking in the next couple years. It's kind of a blessing as there are a lot of odd angles and details not consistent with the style of he house. The big question on this one is: what decking material works best with the cedar-siding? I've seen a lot of beautiful mahogany decking lately, but fear it'll look wrong with the siding. Thoughts?

Pictures to come when we take possession! Thanks!
