Need help with choosing carpeting color for wall-to-wall in stairway, hallway and bedrooms to tie all areas together. The carpet abuts midtone cherry hardwood floors (can't install hardwood in these rooms). Bedroom and hallway walls are pastels - pale yellow, pink and pinkish-lavender. No carpet samples we've tried look quite right. Trying to avoid lighter carpet colors for purposes of resale in this large family-size home.
