need help with hooking speakers to TV

I just got a 32" TV HD LCD, the volume isn't loud enough and I'd like to hook up speakers. I'd like to avoid a whole home theater sys. if possible. I'm thinking just a couple speakers with a sub (like what I have for my pc) I have no earphone jack. I took photos of my hookups, not sure how to post them here. How can I do this? TIA!

Most TVs do not have speaker output jacks on the rear but many do have Audio Ouput jacks.

Typically these are color coded red and white and are labled Audio or Line output.
