We have a 17'x17' great room with 13' ceilings in it that we might have finally decided on furniture pieces to put in there. The entertainment center will actually be a giant book shelf but there wasn't a tall entertainment center that would help fill up this tall wall that we liked so we will just remove some shelves for the tv on this unit. It's a cream/tanish distressed piece, 10' wide by 8 or 9' high (can't remember for sure and this manufacturer doesn't have a website and it's not available online, weird). The reason I'm asking specifically about this picture attached is my husband is scared of having light stained/painted furniture pieces because we have dark trim and he's always been a dark wood man, so in order to help persuade him I'm hoping you guys can help (or tell me I'm entirely wrong, which is possible) us out with this decision. We also found a sectional couch that we like that would go in the room too. So attached are pictures of the new pieces and what our current horrible great room layout is (new house, so not much furniture yet). The entertainment center would go on the wall where the tv is currently at and the couch would border the carpeted area along the hardwood in the same corner that the current love seat is.
