Hi Ronda, the most 'logical' place for TV is above the fireplace, but the size of this room is quite spacious so it should provide enough viewing distance.

There seem to be a lot of beige with the wall and furniture, perhaps try to update the wall color to a more contemporary gray tones which works with many different colors.

I'm going to suggest you look into greige for this large room. It will allow for keeping some of your beige items, but will tend (if you choose it well) to lean to grey. You're right, the wall is a little overdone!
Good thing is, you may be able to re-purpose some of it. Search for greige on this site - lots of variations of this simple blended color.

Hi---yes, the walls are too tan/beige and are too dark. You have a lot and I mean a lot of white trim going on in this house-several doorways, built-ins stairs, cabinets, etc. so I recommend going with a soft neutral palette throughout. Pick up colors with accessories. I also notice tons of metal furnishings/accessories and no window treatments---which makes the room feel cold. I'll figure some colors for you as soon as you post to my question I left you on the other thread. Very beautiful home by the way. I love the wall color and drapes in the dining room. Do you? If so, I could use it as reference when selecting other colors throughout your home.

Thank you! I do love the black walls - reminds me of a tuxedo. I am pulling the carpet and want to do a wood floor in the kitchen through to the dining room. We just purchased the Kerastan carpet so I have to keep it in the great room - at least for a little while.

Too much beige for sure. The gray colors will help considerably. Agree that window need a design element. Perhaps white wide plantation shutters would work. The most logical place for TV is above fireplace. If you want artwork above fireplace consider one of the many TV art concealment products available.
