Have you check unfinished furniture websites. They are very affordable and you can have them stained or painted by them or yourself. I have purchased , an amoire, dining tables and chairs. We are very pleased.

Hey, I'm not sure if this helps but I bought this armoire a couple months ago. I don't know your price range and it might not be dark enough, but this is decently affordable and the quality is good. Everything came fully assembled so it's a huge box.
