We are considering putting Quick-Step Linesse (Macadamia Oak color) in our house and would like to hear anyone else's experiences with or thoughts about the product.

Here's a little background info about us that might help:

(1) We're not "designer" people at all. We don't necessarily care if this floor looks authentic. We just had some pretty bad damage from a hurricane last year and are updating as we rebuild, and one of the changes we're making is to replace our carpet with something easier to keep up with. (We have two young children, no indoor pets.)


(2) We definitely live on a budget (one teacher's salary), so aside from having something that's easy to clean, our biggest concern is having something that's going to last for a good while so we're not having to replace a poor product in three years.

(3) We understand that a hard floor is going to be louder than our carpet, but we want to avoid a hollow echo sound as much as possible.

Any thoughts, experience, or even pictures would be greatly appreciated!
