Here is the situation:

We have a 36" 6 burner gas cooktop. We were told by the appliance guy we needed a 42" 1200 CFM....we didn't know any better and that is what we got.

The day before inspection heating and cooling notices that it is 1200 CFM and says, "Stop the train!" this house can't handle this vent hood. He says it will suck all the air out of the house and it will not meet code.

I think to myself. Didn't it occur to you to think about this months ago?

What are the possible solutions? and who should have noticed this other than me a trusting consumer.
