Input on price AC/Furnace

A contractor's wanting me to replace my old furance and AC with: Lennox 90k BTU (92.1%+ Efficiency), and Lennox 3.5 Ton 14 SEER G-43 units with total installation and removal costs of $3980 and with two years worth of free "anytime" service with no service call charge.

Anyone out there that can give me some input on whether I've been given a fair price or not??

Based on the quotes I have received that is a good price. The best I have had so far for a RUUD 3.5 ton and 100BTU 80% furnace is $5,100

Some feedback I have seen has questioned the quality of the Lennox equipment. According to Consumer Reports ratings (Furnaces 2004) they have a higher repair rate at nearly 20% versus top brands at 12%-15%

I would not let that persuade your decision. The one thing everyone agrees on is it is not as much the equipment but the installer and the quality so check references.
