Finding new authors to read

Has anyone played with this type of literature map before? I just lost a whole evening, completely absorbed in finding new things to read.

Basically, you enter an author you like, and it creates linkages to other authors who share common themes or writing styles etc.

I like how the names kind of shuffle about too, it's cute.

I like Goodreads, which also does a similar thing. On Goodreads I can see what my friends are reading/have read, as well as fellow book club members.

Another Goodreads fan here. But kiki, I'm intrigued, and will definitely take a look. It sounds a bit like Pandora, which has introduced me to many new artists.

I also use Goodreads, but this site is fun. One of my favorite writers is Jhumpa Lahiri. When I typed in her name, up popped the names of other authors I have enjoyed, but also some new suggestions. Thanks for pointing this out.
