My family room is a step down about 25 by 20 feet. It has an asymmetrical vaulted ceiling, about 8 feet low end, 12 feet high end. There are two skylights and three registers on the ceiling. Predictably the room is cold. We have a wood stove in there but the heat still rises. We are going to build out a subfloor to put in hardwoods. We were going to add a ceiling fan, but I just realized that the fan would have to hang pretty low due to the slant. Im not sure I'm crazy about how that is going to look (obtrusive). Does anyone have any recommendations?

I looked at dual head fans not sure if those would help. I looked at retractable blades, not sure if that helps either. Is there another solution??
