Need AC Help

We just had central air installed. It is in 3-zones. The master bedroom is one, kids bedroom area upstairs is another, and 1st floor is the third one. Our basement stays cool so we opted not to put central down there.

The AC is set at 73 or 74 on first floor and at that I am wearing a sweater sometime =) My problem is that we have a cathedral ceiling in the family room so all the heat rises to the second floor constantly kicking on the 2nd floor ac. The kids bedroom doors stay closed so my daughter's room could be 67 while the thermostat in the hallway stays 73. However, in the am she gets full sun and has a skylights so really can not make the second floor thermostat higher at night because in the am it will be too hot in her room.

Any suggestions? My significant other, well he refuses to get ceiling fans which know would help! =)
