XL900 Stat Settings

Last week we had 2 Trane XR15s, communicating air handlers and XL900 stats installed. I'm trying to determine if the stats were configured correctly. We had many conversations about whether the XL900 would even work with a non-communicating outside unit and a communicating air handler... Based on advice we got here and on other boards, we argued for the XL900 and eventually our installer (after contacting Trane) agreed it would work.

Now it's installed and I'm looking over the settings in the installer's guide and want to make sure it is configured correctly to manage our humidity. I think the installers left the settings at "default" in most/all cases. Just wondering if there is any way to best set this stat up so that we get maximum control and mimimum cycling/costs.

The unit seems to be cycling a lot and I believe right now it is just overcooling to keep our humidity in range. We've got the setting for humidity at 50% and the unit seems to be struggling to keep the number at 55% or lower.

Looking at the settings... We've got...

ISU#0380 Indoor Humidication Control set to 1 (Integrated Temp and Humidity Control)

ISU#0383 Maximum Droop set to 1 (1 degree F)

ISU#0387 Dehumidification airflow set to 100 (100%)

ISU#0388 Trane Propietary Humidity Control set to 1 (Enabled)

What else should we be looking at?

Lastly, we live in SFL... Is 50% reasonable RU number or what is the best comfort setting.

Thanks!
