Haha. Well, I have induction and I have cooked it a little too long without stirring . . . and it did stick, BUT all I had to do was add a little bit of water to the oatmeal and rub the bottom of the oatmeal pot with the tip of the wooden spoon to loosen it up. I don't think this worked because I used induction, but I can cook the oatmeal or keep it warm for a very very very long time without it burning. I have often made my oatmeal, then turned the burner to the lowest setting and just kept it warm for my kids, stirring and adding a bit of water occasionally for almost 2 hours.
As for boiling over . . . yeah, I've done that a few times with my induction if I didn't turn down the burner right away after putting in the oatmeal. But the cleanup was easy peasy . . . and fast . . . because nothing burned or stuck.

Tri-ply spreads the heat up the sides of the pot, so maybe there are no hot spots on the bottom. Can you test oatmeal in your old pan or isn't it induction capable?

It isn't induction-capable. In fact, I'm going to be dropping them off at Goodwill this afternoon. I was just curious.
