I am having my cabinets made 26" deep instead of the standard 24" deep. The cabinet shop said they normally use 22" glides..that's what they get the best price on. They would be full extension glides.

Cabinet people said they can make the drawers 24" deep instead of 22" but they would keep the glides the same so they wouldn't act as true full extension glides...I'd have 2" of drawer space that doesn't pull out. This option would be a nominal up charge.

If I ask them to get 24" glides to go with 24" deep drawers, that would be a more significant up charge.

Is the extra 2" even if it isn't exposed worth it?
