I haven't used Seventh Generation soap, but I found info at this link. Hope it helps.

Here is a link that might be useful: Epinions - Seventh Generation laundry detergent

i use it all the time. we get it really cheap @ big lots. it does a good job, smells fantastic without an overpowering smell. i buy the liquid and fill the cap to line 0, so you get many more washes than is posted on the bottle.

How about the powder version? The box just says to go with your HE recommendation. But I thought the amount would mostly depend on the soap, right?

nsaids_nurse420 - I'm glad you like it! I never thought of going to Big Lots...

i didn't like the powdered version as well. we threw the scoop that came in the box away and just used the scoop from our sear's bucket. the reason i didn't like it as well was that the clothes didn't smell as fresh as when i used the liquid. don't know if maybe i didn't use enough of it, or if that's just the way it is supposed to be. i purchased the powder from a nature foods store and paid a whole lot more than i do now purchasing the liquid from big lots. i am still confused by reading the directions on the bottle/box as to how much i am supposed to use.

Good to know I have a Big Lots localy! How much is the detergent at Big Lots?
