If the light is only for effect - to create a soft glow you can use rope light. Make sure you see the rope light color before buying. They can vary greatly. Some of the inexpensive LED is awful. Typical 120V rope lighting is a very warm color. If you need more light you may have to use low voltage strip lighting or fluorescent. Fluorescent will be the most efficient and best choice if you want lots of indirect lighting. Choose a high CRI and lamp color temperature lamp that goes well with your other lighting.
