We have flourescent lighting all throughout our basement that has a drop/false ceiling and I would like some suggestions please : )

I plan on replacing the family room area with recessed pot lights on dimmers but in my son's room I don't know if I should do this also? Any suggestions, the flourescents just don't cut it?
