the electrician is coming on Wednesday to lay everything out and I'm pretty much at a loss. our specs call for 4 cans, 2 pendants over island and 1 ceiling light over the table area. If it helps, the kitchen window and the slider face SOUTH. To the right of the kitchen will be a long hallway to the side door (so no light will come in from that way) but to the bottom of the kitchen (on the picture) will be the dining room and living room which both have doors entering into the kitchen and both have big windows so a tiny bit of light will come in from those.

IF I stayed with those confines where would you place the cans? IF I wanted to go with more cans where would you place those?

And yes, undercabinet lighting is a given but which I'll put in after. And yes, I need something over the sink (Haven't gotten that far but I know I asked about it the other day and now I have to go find that thread...)
