Taking a few moments...

In the midst of doing all this construction I have been trying to take at least a little bit of time each day to feed my soul. Today's project started last night with the painting of a cabinet door in the laundryroom. Our place is just about 100 years old and kinda funky so this fit in just right. It was dry today so I glazed it to go with the theme of the room. I then added padded insets in a style I had pulled from a magazine. The best part of it was I used ALL recycled items from around the house! Trim left over from making pillows, buttons from grandmas button jar and a square of fabric that oddly just about matches my wallpaper and it was found in our basmement when we moved in!

Too cool! It took me a minute to figure out the fabric from the wallpaper--they are identical!!!

And good for you for scheduling some feed your soul time!

That's really nice.

I'm pretty much just on maintainance for decluttering and cleaning, so my "me times" have been devoted to trying to learn a new rug making skill. I think I need something with quicker results though.

Very pretty! I'm trying to do the same thing, taking time to feed my soul. I'm moving things around in the house, finding new ways to display and organize. I love it!
