Beyond the high arch faucet

I am looking for a faucet and I'm not sure that I am crazy about the high arch ones that I am seeing everywhere. My sink is on my penninsula and the high faucet would be highly visable from my family room. I get that a lot of people like this look, but I'm not sure I do. I have a modern/transitional look. Any recommendations beyond the high arch style?

I had the same concerns about my peninsula, but it's a look that you quickly adjust to. It will look big at first. The pull-out spray faucets aren't ergonomically designed.

Yes. The Grohe Minta. Modern, only about 9" tall and a pull out. And there's a new touch Minta but it's slightly and rounded.
