I think they'll look good with what you have going on. Very nice room!

I think the top looks like it would work, not sure I am crazy about the legs. I am also thinking that if you are planning to use them sitting with the long side against the wall, they aren't very deep. Good price, tho.

Is the height correct for the mattress height? I think they're pretty but you definately want them to come up to matress height at least.

    Hi jojoco:
I purchased a very similar set of nightstands - same period, same overall profile. I'm going to use them in our bonus room. Unless yours are very different, mine are extremely lightweight; they look much heavier in a picture than IRL. I think you'll find them much too lightweight to balance your substantial headboard.

Jojoco, I troll the Syracuse Craigslist all the time and I can tell you for certain that a match that good at a price that low is a "go".

You can get those and if you see something better in the future, you can buy that and sell these.

We're sort of neighbors, by the way, I'm in Ithaca.

I really like the tables and you can't go wrong with that price, though I also would be concerned they will look a bit too delicate next to your more substantial headboard. I also was wondering if you'd prefer a drawer with your nightstand instead of the open shelf below. I know my DH likes to put stuff down on his nightstand like his cell phone, business cards, notes, pens, etc. (and I'm always stashing it in his drawers below).

I agree with Igloochic...they are very pretty, but they should be at least mattress height.

Do you mind my asking about your wall color? It is a wonderful color!

I think you'll have too much matching wood going on.

I don't understand how people can get by with a bedside table. I have nightstands with big drawers and they're crammed full of stuff. To me, there's never enough storage in a house and more is always welcome. Maybe I need to invite some of you who are good without extra storage to come over and help me sort and toss? lol

They're nice and a good buy, but I agree with sarschlos.........I think you need some contrast.
Also, I think they may be too lightweight and low for your bedside. The advantage of solid-type night stands w/drawers, vs open shelves, is that they hide all the cords from lamp, radio & clock and as oceanna mentioned, have more storage to hide stuff. With mine, it's nice to have somewhere I can keep my eye drops, lip moisturizer, hand cream, eye glasses, extra magazine/books, etc.

I need the storage aspect of a night stand: vicks, lip balm, hand cream, tissues, gloves(if I need heavy duty hand repair), book markers, etc. I keep so darn much in mine and really I don't think I could do without a drawer.
The tables are okay but they look like what they are, tables.
