I'm not sure how to answer your question. I do have both of those colors. In my case, I painted my walls in the kitchen and family room Ecru (the 3rd one down on the strip). After scraping the popcorn texture off of my ceiling, I had convinced my husband that we paint the ceiling something other than white. So, I had my ceilings painted muslin, but when he got home he said, "I thought we agreed not to paint the ceilings white" The muslin is so light that he couldn't tell much difference. Muslin does look close to antique white. I left the muslin in the kitchen, but decided to paint the ceiling in the family room netsuke so that my crown molding would stand out more. In this picture the lighting isn't so great. The netsuke looks a little darker than IRL. I'm happy with the end result.

My issue is that the Netsuke sample just seems so dark. It's a small room with little natural light. I guess I'll have to get samples of muslin and 50% netsuke just to compare.

I wondered the exact same thing.. ended up doing 50% netsuke. Is that what you did. I was only disappointed that it wound up looking more yellow than green.
