Our installer used it as well. It's only been a few months but seems good so far on our marble. Water beads up well and no stains.

I am a fabricator. Bulletproof is one of the very best. It's expensive.

It was included with our install. Actually our installer mentioned a different (cheaper) product first but when I asked for Porous Plus 511 he said he likes to uses Bulletproof and did so at no extra charge.

Very informative blog posts. Thanks for sharing, needinfo. I love marble but I'd have to seriously reconsider after reading those 2 posts. Kind of ironic because when I was speaking to my installer about BulletProof he indicated marble would be fine w/ it. Ooops!! Guess he needs to do his homework.

kgolby, A lot depends on the type of marble as well. We have Vermont Danby marble and from everyone that has it that I've spoken to staining is not an issue as long as it is sealed. ALL marble will etch- with or without sealer- so that is an important thing to keep in mind. However, staining is often not a problem.

It IS good to know what you are getting into though. Marble isn't for everyone. Here are some very informative things to read:
