After the flood

I had a leak under the kitchen sink that went unnoticed for quite some time before it was repaired so water had soaked through the cabinet floor, through the floorboards to the basement. It was drain water so we are left with an unpleasant damp odor and whatever might be growing in the space beneath the cabinet.
My question is about mold testing. Is there a way to buy my own air tester and see what I've got growing? I want to make sure that the area is cleaned properly and safely when we get someone in. Would a flood cleanup company do a small job like this?
I'm posting here because this is where the water problems are. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Mold/milldew remediation is often a never ending issue. Not nessarly due to the actual danger of the mold but because of the liability assumed by any and all who you hire to deal specificly with the mold. Once you test for mold, regardless of outcome,it must be revealed to insurance company, lein holder and prospective buyers.
Were it mine I would spray every surface possible where water stood with 1 cup household bleach in 1 gallon water, alow to air dry. Sufaces that are not inclosed by repair can be painted.
The answer to where can you by test kits. Big box,Ebay and many others.

Thank you for your reply. I hadn't thought about the insurance issue. I guess I'll start with diy testing and cleaning and hope that does the trick.
