Favorite source for bed quilts?

Partly due to a discussion here, I want to "summerize" my bed with a seasonal quilt. Our MBR is painted F&B Light Blue (um, I think that was what we used -- it's a medium gray-blue with some green in it). For the warmer months we have a comforter that has a lot of reds in it, along with a velvet accent pillow (I used a king pillow and sham for my accent pillow). It's from Pottery Barn, and I have usually had good luck there with bedding, but I'm not loving anything they have now -- at least not anything that works with my room color. I have also looked at Company Store, Garnet Hill, JC Penney, West Elm, and Horchow. Nothing! What I'm looking for is something lighter in color, maybe with some yellows or greens in addition to a blue that works with my walls. I don't really like the country style patchwork quilts but other than that I haven't narrowed down a particular style other than the fact that I want a quilt or coverlet, not a duvet.

The style in the room is pretty mixed. We have some contemporary/Shaker-ish furniture as well as a couple of antique pieces.

Can you suggest any resources I haven't already checked?

    Have you checked Overstock?

I was also going to suggest overstock. I just ordered one last week. and I had been hunting for a few months for a quilt that was not scalloped, paisley, 'country' and finally found it. I wanted a plain white one with texture, and I am accenting it with my white and blue shams.

Target also had some with those colors. I think they were the Dwell line.

My mother :-) Seriously, though, I just saw the Dwell stuff at Target and I remember loving the colors...

I bought my quilt at Bed Bath & Beyond. (With a 20% off coupon, naturally.) I had looked in a number of stores and at Overstock and wasn't seeing anything that appealed to me. BBB had a pretty good selection - and more importantly, the "right" one.

    Worth a look.

The Company Store has a huge selection. Etsy has an even bigger selection!

I like Bon-Ton, their sale's are great and the quilts have consumer reviews.

I just bought this one from Bon-Ton for the room I did for my kid. I liked it so much I took a chance and bought another brand & style for myself on sale for forty something and it's equally nice.

I saw this site the other day and while I didn't care for a lot of their bedding, they did have a couple of quilts that I thought were pretty.

If there's a Pottery Barn quilt from the past year or so that you liked, but that they don't carry any longer, you can sometimes find them on eBay. Here's one that's pretty.

Macy's had the Martha Stewart collection which carries a lovely taupe coverlet that is quilted, all cotton and reversible to cream with a darker trim on it. Very good looking. I bought two at their half price sale so I did well.

    Amazon has a large selection I think. There's also Macy's and Dillard's.

I love quilts all year round, layered in the winter.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I ended up poking around on tbe PB web site and previously, had not thought to look at their clearance section, assuming only winter things would be on sale, but I found a quilt that I loved... at least in the pics... fingers crossed since it can't be returned! But I think it will be nice. As I said, I have had very good luck with their bedding in the past. Since it was on clearance, of course I also had to get the shams, coordinating throw pillow, a king sham for my extra pillow, and a couple of coordinating pillow cases (I have all ivory sheets that I use w/ various pillow cases).

Which one did you pick? You must have hit the clearance earlier...usually everything is picked over...you can get the quilt but no shams..

Oops! I thought you didn't like patchwork so I didn't pick that one. LOL! I'm so excited that you found something you liked on sale. I love when that happens to me. It's like a bonus.

Oh, and in the course of all this, I have decided to have our room painted. Talk about a minor project getting out of hand! I painted our room myself several years ago and I did a lousy job. Then we had our floors done and the baseboards and doors got pretty banged up, so the trim needs some touch ups and we just haven't gotten around to it. I have one other room that desperately needs to be painted, so I kinda, sorta hinted to DH that I might like to hire our painter (um, "one last time" ha ha) to do these two rooms and he said "Yes dear..."

Still using blue in our room, but going a bit lighter. We don't get great light in our room, and I'm finding the blue-gray a little dark.
