I had a plumber come yesterday to do 4 things. Install toliet in half bath, install pedestal sink in many bath, install faucet to pedestal sink, and swap out tub fixtures. Simple, well the first three were.

The tub fixtures are the major road block.

I had no idea that you had to replace the shower handle with the same company.

The current handle is Delta. My plumber said that I should just buy a trim kit.

I can't find a trim kit in nickel. Also the plumber sent me to a plumbing store. Saying they would be able to help me. They didn't have no (and kept talking down to me). They also said they didn't think it would work unless it was already a very new delta. It is a handle not the glass knob thing but I don't know how old it is. How can I tell and where can I actually get a trim kit that will fit.

If the faucet has to be replaced in the wall. How long would it take a plumber to do it. There is an access panel but it is over my stairs so they would need a ladder.

Second I am looking for a handheld shower that attaches to teh wall not the shower steam (other thing I screwed up) in nickel any good sources for that ?

Please help advise.
