flagstone vs tile around pool

I know you can seal flagstone but sealer doesn't last a whole long time. Is it really an issue? does the sand particles get into the pool?

Is there a type of tile that kinda looks like flagstone.

Whats the difference on costs.

I am going to put in a free form pool around 500 sq ft, with 700 to 800 ft of concrete around it,

I want to break up the concrete (cooldeck)with some shapes of stone or tile and depending on how money lasts border it. 18 inch raised spa with some 18 inch raised walls for seating along one side. weeping wall and water fall along the back side. This is a great forum, I am in Houston and reading up on some of these postings has been extremely helpful.

All you need some flagstone inlay in the patio decking around the pool.
The concrete man will drop a deck elevation with some ripper forms and then your mason will cut rock and place it into the relief.
If you'd like, later this evening I'll look for some pic's for you and post them.

That would be good. All I want is to keep maintenance down and sand out of the pool.

From all the people I talked with looks like James @ Starlight will do it. Him an I from the same batch of Ol' dogs. Some of the PB's had all kinds of razzel dazzel presentations on software and had me slobbering but the price tag was outa bounds. do either of you have photos of your pools? I'm deciding now on flagstone vs tile on the raised bond and the seat wall that continues past the pool. Love to see photos!
