Faucet deck size different

I want to install a new faucet on my kitchen sink, but the new faucet deck is smaller than the old one, and I'm afraid there will be holes showing since I am installing a one handle spray and the one I have now is 2 handles & the faucet. What do I do?

The easiest thing to do is to remove the old faucet and measure the hole to hole distance to see if it will fit. What is the surface material that the faucet is mounted on? Some man made materials can be modified to cover the holes. If the surface can't be modified then purchase a faucet that will cover the holes.
