Did you read the instructions on the package before installing it? I am not familiar with this product at all. But IÂm guessing if you flip it end-for-end it will work.

The only instruction I saw was install the leak proof device end to water supply. I don't know how it works, it's like some kind of built-in connector on one end of hose.

You may have a high-flow stopping device, which would detect a broken line at the icemaker. In that case, the high flow moves a diaphragm to a stop position, somewhat like a check valve.

Assuming the parts are properly installed (Look for an arrow to indicate direction of flow.) the Âdevice would stop flow under those conditions  normally by fault. Such a design is Âself-resetting, meaning that a normal limitation Âseen at the icemaker would allow the valve to flow water again.

But it isnÂt going to do that without a change.

Just guessing now. But, I would shut OFF the stop valve that feeds the hose at the supply line. Unplug the icemaker or refrigerator. Open the connection at the refrigerator, or anywhere beyond the device, to relieve and trapped pressure (and some water.)

Reconnect, and restart the refrigerator. Then, very slowly Âcrack the stop valve, so that water flows to the unit under low-flow and slowly. When the water eventually begins to fill the icemaker, open the stop valve fully.

The Âbalanced pressure should allow everything to operate properly after that.
