Steps for mini remodel

My mini kitchen remodel involves re-staining the cabinets and installing new countertops, sink, faucet and rangetop. Since I'm playing the general contractor, I'm trying to lay down a plan on what needs to happen in what order. I realize this isn't rocket science, but anyone care to review my list and tell me if I'm missing something?

1. Pick slabs -- DONE

2. Choose fabricator and schedule countertop removal.

3. Remove existing countertops, sink and cooktop.

4. Retrofit sink cabinet for apron front sink and cooktop cabinet to fit rangetop. Existing drawers removed to be remade with blumotion glides. Drawer fronts go to refinisher.

5. Refinisher onsite to re-stain cabinets.

6. Install Shaw's apron front sink.

7. Install new limestone countertops.

8. Install new faucet.

9. Install new drawers.

Install new rangetop.

Will there be a drawer directly under the rangetop? If so then put the rangetop in before the drawers so if the drawers need to be modified to fit the rangetop it can be done right away. Other than that it looks good to me. Good luck.

Looks good (keeping in mind Lululemom's point about the rangetop).

Will there be backsplash issues?

The bottom row of tiles for the backsplash might be damaged when the current granite is taken out, but that should be easily fixed.

There are currently 2 drawers and a false drawer front under the cooktop. The false one will be cut out for the rangetop, but the above idea is a good idea -- I'll have the cabinet guy wait on rebuilding the top drawer (all drawers are being redone in solid maple with blumotion glides) until the rangetop is in.
