I am experimenting with stripes. Currently using MS Precious Metals paint collection in Pink Pearl and interior flat Lava Stone to create stripes in my guest bathroom. I chose pink because the attached bedroom has a pink carpet and I wanted to continue the color into the bathroom.

While I want to create an almost victorian look with oval mirror and lace shower curtains, my concern is that the bathroom may appear to be too formal. I have chosen to decorate in a contemporary and less formal manner throughout the surrounding rooms (dining and living room).

Any suggestions for ways to contemporize pink stripes?
