Some of the pvc trim available now is pretty good. Cuts like wood and no painting, but I can't vouch for the long term color retention.

I was wondering about using something like Azek....but I wasn't sure it would hold up to the constant kicking of people walking up the stairs....
I asked the lumber store where I am getting the IPE and they didnt think the Azek would be good for the risers....

Is there another brand of "no maintenance" trim that may be god for risers?

I did IPE steps with white risers as well. I built the step frames with PT and painted the fascia areas. Didn't miter the edges or anything fancy like that, I figured they'd take some abuse as steps and I can just repaint every few years to touch up, won't take more than 5 minutes. Project is not fully complete yet, but if I can figure out how to attach photos (forum noob here) I'll post two...

I assume the white fascia board around the deck frame is PT too??

Based on the good looks of your deck project, I figure I'll stick with the PT. It will save me time and money (rather than using some sort of Azek type product).

Yep, you figured correctly. That's just PT deck frame painted white. I picked the best, knot-free boards for the header and rim joists, but in the end I don't really mind the slightly less polished PT look, especially when compared to the cost of trimming it.
