Yes you will need to square up your top before applying your binding so you will need to trim all sandwich pieces .

You need to square it. Using your largest square ruler (or widest & longest rectangle ruler), start by trimming the corners. After all of the corners are squared, use the ruler to "match up" the cut areas in the middle of the width and length of the quilt. Then it's binding time!
