The white is really white on maple
The stain is mocha on cherry, I wanted it on maple but it's not available.
The cabs are by dura-supreme, inset with Arcadia door style, with hidden hinge.
I will have super white granite counters.
Farmhouse sink.
Polished nickel hardware and restoration hardware polished nickel yoke pendants.

I also want to build a corner booth
I was thinking of the seating area all white except for the seat, Im considering making that cherry and matching the stain??

Don't second guess yourself! White kitchens with dark stained islands are gorgeous, and I'm sure you'll be happy with the result.

You're probably just nervous about the decision because the order has finally been placed & let's face it, it's a big decision that costs alot of money. What you are feeling is 100% natural. The trick to getting rid of that feeling is to take a few deep breaths, sip a glass of wine (or other relaxing beverage) and start to focus on the other 100 decisions you have to make for your new kitchen :-)

I loooooove the look of a white or cream kitchen with a
wood island. It does not even have to be dark, it can be
blue, green, red... I think the contrast is just perfect.

I love white perimeter with stained island! But I'm biased because that's exactly what I'm doing. Super white will look amazing with it! BTW, I'm doing white on maple and java on cherry. Apparently the grain of certain woods (maple included) doesn't take stain uniformly, and dark stain highlights this problem. I'm actually glad the island has to be cherry, since it'll get the most abuse, and cherry is much harder than maple.

I love it too, but it's what I'm doing, so I'm biased as well. Except, I'm also doing the stain on my cooktop wall.

I think it depends on what look/feel you want. I do think the all white kitchens feel very different than the two tone kitchens. For me, the all white kitchens are beautiful and look fresh and clean but they make ME feel cold and uncomfortable. I love to look at pictures of them but don't want to cook in one. I need the warmth of natural wood. Notice the all caps of "ME" because it's all very personal.

Either way it will be beautiful!
