Anyone ordered from Art.com or Allposters.com?

There is a particular giclee print I have wanted for a long time. I'd love to get it done on canvas but it would cost quite a bit (around $600). So I am considering ordering it in a giclee print from allposters or art.com (same company different names). They have 30% off until midnight. I just googled them, and found A LOT of negative reviews, and some that even said the company sold their credit card info to third parties. So now I just don't know. I also am looking for something that looks really nice, not just a cheap framed poster. Is that possible with this company? Anyone have any experience as to their quality? Should I just search for it locally at frame shops, etc? TIA.

Do you have a photo or drawing of your own that you like? I've linked to a place that will print it up for you. I haven't used them, but they sound okay to me.

Here is a link that might be useful: iPrint at Home

I've ordered a couple of prints from Art.com. I had no problems at all.

I love art.com they are really great. Descriptions of the products are accurate, great option for matting and framing and their offerings are very diverse. I have ordered from them in the past and was very happy with my purchases.

I've ordered from both and I've never been disappointed. The prints are very good quality along with the frames. I like how I can try out frames and mats on the prints before I make a purchase.

I have ordered prints from art.com and have been very happy with them. I haven't had anything framed, but the prints were fine as was the customer service.

I just ordered a large print from art.com at Christmas. It arrived quickly, in very good condition, and looks great. As stated earlier, they have large selection, lots of mat and frame options. My only problem (my mistake) is that I spent so much time picking the right mat and frame that I forgot to select the right glass. Next time, I'll upgrade and select one of the anti-glare ones.

I've ordered giclees from Ballards and also been happy. I think art.com has more unique selections. If you missed their % off sale, be patient. They rerun them constantly.

bcgcsmom (and others)--which glass do you recommend? I was thinking of going with the anti-glare (middle option--the cheapest is regular acrylic, anti-glare in the middle, and UV anti-glare the most expensive). Would I be ok with that one or should I choose the UV one?
    Thanks for the helpful opinions.

If your picture will get any direct sunlight at all, spring for the UV. Sunlight damages any image it hits...I have a tragic story about three once-fine Hiroshiges that I inherited from my aunt, but not before she had her framer paste them to the not acid-free backing board without a mat, and then hung them in the sun for 25 years. Sigh...

I just ordered from Art.com for the first time and it was TERRIBLE. I ordered a print of Christ for a baptism gift and the print came--seriously--folded roughly in 3 folds and stuck in a square tube. The tube was fine, whoever packed it--my 3 yr old would have done a better job. It was shocking. And art print folded up like a piece of trash. How can they stay in business?!

I called and they're sending me another one--we'll see--but what a pain and I don't know if I'll get it in time.

I ordered from Art.com and it was fine - print came in a strong cardboard tube and was undamaged. I did not notice any additional influx of offers in the mail - any time you move, those happen because the mortgage applications all share your info.

I've bought several things there---happy with all of them. Watch for coupon codes online---they come and go quickly---to get the best deal.

I have purchased from both also. I usually just order prints and have them framed myself, like at Michaels, etc. You can really get some good prices, I am not that familiar with their framing.

I ordered a very common print framed with non-glare glass three weeks ago from Art.com. The delivery of the item was first December 18th, then December 19th, then on December 20, 2017 the item was delivered damaged back to Art.com--I was not notified by either the shipper or Art.com offices. Even though it was an intended Christmas gift, Art.com first refused to expedite a replacement order, then notified me the order was placed, then twenty minutes later notified me the item was out of stock and a refund would be issued in FIVE DAYS !!! Just review my posting and you will see the very bad customer service this company, Art.com/All Posters.com offers to their potential clients. I will not recommend that anyone order from this company, not if they expect an item to be provided on-time or any kind of good customer service. D. GOODMAN, MICHIGAN

I forgot about this post until someone just “liked” it!

Art.com came through in the end., it was over the time they were doing an internal inventory and unfortunately just bad timing and a little bit of confusion.

But have to say they came through in the end . I have even ordered since from them.

I am just sorry I left that premature comment, I recommend Art.com for good product and service.

    ART.BOMB!!!

I ordered a custom framed print. The first delay was due to their accounting department not posting my PayPal payment. Then my order was delayed because they were out of stock on UV Non-glare acrylic with no estimated delivery date for this essential product. I cancelled my order.

I have to say though that the customer service people are fantastic. Seasoned professionals even right after being hit by the recent hurricane. Brava, ladies, brava!!!!

I ordered a premium giclee print on 09-11-18 from AllPosters. Total price with shipping was $409.79. It arrived on 09-20-18 a day of continuous thunderstorms. I was constantly checking outside my front door and found the cardboard box laying on my front porch in the rain completely soaked. When I opened it the print was rolled up inside a single sheet of thin brown paper that’s ends were soaked. No protecting coating or plastic outside or inside. The USPS delivered it by throwing it on the porch. Didn’t put it inside the storm door, knock or ring the doorbell. Totally inadequate packaging by AllPosters and miserable “service” by the U.S. post office. And I have been receiving constant daily sales email, as many as 4 per day, from AllPosters. Of course their website doesn’t allow you to unsubscribe. Isn’t that special!

I ordered from AllPosters earlier this month, and started getting the promotional emails almost immediately. The emails DO contain an unsubscribe link, and I was easily able to do so. Not sure why the poster above me has had trouble - but it's not true that you can't unsubscribe.

I ordered 2 Mondrian prints, each was supposed to be framed in a Metropolitan frame. One came in the correct frame and the other didn't, even though the packing slip said it was. Short version is, I had to provide a picture of the print in the wrong frame and tell them whether I wanted a replacement or refund. I chose a replacement since they were to be a grouping (and the red trim in the frame complemented the colors in the prints so well), and then got an email saying that they were out of stock on "certain components of the item" and couldn't guarantee shipment for another week, and to let them know whether I wanted to wait or cancel. I chose to wait. We'll see what happens next. My advice is, if you're ordering multiple items, don't assume they'll all be what you want, or that you'll get a replacement very soon when they aren't.

    Don’t bother. The company sucks

Beware. Never received order from Allposters Still waiting on refund. Save your money.

Absolutely horrible. Total waste of money.

DO NOT TRUST AllPosters.com's 50% off, etc. They'll discount you some of what you purchase, and then tell you that there is some sort of computer glitch, and they'll discount you the rest at the time of sale. Then they'll tell you that you'll receive the discount when the last piece ships. Then they'll say there is some sort of issue that their finance department has to deal with. You'll then never see your money.

do not order from them, i am battling with them now. They took my order and my money back in mid December with a ship date of 1/15. When I called on 1/15 to verify I was told it didn't ship because the print was damaged so they had to order a new one and it would ship 1/28. I followed up week of 1/18 and was told it was still shipping 1/28, I called 1/26 and still the same. On 1/28 I called to verify and I am now being told they don't know when it will ship. Nobody emails to tell you anything, its all a big scam. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. Go elsewhere

by far the worst or at least one of the worst companies out there. DO not waste your time or money on this crap. The people that work there are idiots and the company is nothing but a scam

I love Art.com. I have ordered nearly 20 pieces from them over the last few years. Nice quality prints and framing. All arrived exactly when predicted (or sooner) and I have received many compliments on all of them
