Looking forward to seeing some of the things your are going to accomplish. Good luck and happy quilting. Jayne

Did you decide on a pattern?

Yes, I've had the pattern. I got it at AZ Blankets 4 Kids website. It's called "Patchwork Squares Quilt, Child to Teen". I'll be making the teen size.

Good luck, be sure to post pictures. Keep a journal with notes. It helps prevent making the same mistakes again.

I got my fabric and my rotary cutting mat ruler! Oh, BTW, she, the owner and I figure sole employee is the sister of my home-ec teacher. I got everything for $33 and odd cents. She is really nice, resonable and helpful.

However, now I have two problems. My batting is 45 by 60 and the size given on the quilt is 44 by 61. Do I need to get more batting? Second, I was trimming off the raw edge on my violet/dark purple fabric and the blade wouldn't cut the fabric right! I think the blade is dull? Of course, I did buy it and the mat a few years ago and they've never been used! What to do?
