We are renovating our 1928 house and adding a small family room. There will be a gas fireplace on one of the walls. This is the wall where the flat screen TV will be located. I really do not like when TVs are placed above the fire place. I don't like the way they look and it is too high for viewing. What ideas do you have for integrating a TV on the same wall as the fireplace?

Consider placing the flat screen in the corner. Go to

to see photos of both a corner mount and an over the fireplace mount. If you are installing one of the zero clearance gas fireplaces, you can create a surround design which allows the TV to be mounted at a comfortable viewing height.
