I don't think I've ever seen this before

I've seen artificial flowers used in some creative ways, but I think this takes the cake. Check it out.

Here is a link that might be useful: link

OOoh, Patsy, that's terrible. It looks like some ceremonial burial site!!! Creepy.

The flowers being around a bed is especially creepy! I don't like the visual it gives me. lol.

However, the picture itself is really pretty, especially the frame.

Very amateur! Now try to sleep in that bed, with the cat & dog running around and not knock over those vases!

y'all are right about the burial thing, you hit the nail on the head.

Nicole, of course they don't have any pets and I don't imagine any kind of action going on in that bed, if you know what I mean. LOL

    LOL! That is downright creepy!

It looks like balloon streamers hanging down and petals on the bed. Perhaps that bag is some sort of present?

SURELY this isn't their everyday look, but someone ummm... "decorating" the bedroom for... an event? Perhaps an anniversary???

Creepier than the flowers is SHARING this little private moment with the world! Very EEEEWWWW worthy!

Yuck! That bed is totally creepy. It reminds me of one of those funeral pyres you sometimes see in India . . . one of the more elaborate ones. No disrespect meant towards the people of/from India, though. It's just that this is what came to mind the moment I saw that pic.

LOL Paint chips, if there is an "event" about to happen in that bed, they better have some velcro on the bottom of those vases.

    Whoa!

    OMGawd ..~~

Oh Patsy - you are cracking me up. THE EVENT!!! Heeeheeeeeee!

Maybe it is decorated for a special occasion or as you say - the the big event. Haha.

It's not really creepy to me, but I just don't get it. I don't like the flowers or the picture. I don't get showing the bed either, why not just the picture?

The bed is bad enough, but the meeting instructions kind of creep me out, too.

I haven't laughed so hard in weeks!

Looks like another Attack of the Hildi...

mari. you are so right. I forgot about her. LOL Although she'd have flowers glued up and down the posts also.

You do realize it's from people like Hildi that people find their inspiration to do just what this person did, create a burial bed with events planned sometime.

OMG, Funeral is the first thing that popped into my head also! Great minds think alike....

I think the husband has surprised his bride on an anniversary or some sort of occasion. The flowers look real (he should have picked the same kind for all.) The seller must have thought this photo would be wonderful to show off the painting for sale.

I agree that the instructions sound weird. After the CraigsList killer, I'd be suspicious.

    hahahaaaaaaa

hmmmm I went back and read the instructions, I hadn't before. Maybe the seller is just being cautious and doesn't want to bring strangers into their home. Not to worry - I don't want to go into that home!!! LOL

I think you should call them Patsy and find out the story for us. Be sure not to interupt any events on the burial bed though!!

    Maybe they're real ! ;-)

The instructions are written that way because a lot of people who live on the Southshore of Lake Pontchatrain (where I live), will see the ad. I guess she wants them to know they have to come to the Northshore, where Covington is located. We Southshore people hate to travel the Causeway bridge to the Northshore. Northshore is like the country of New Orleans and thousands moved over there to "get away" from the city. So most of them travel to the Southshore every day for work. The folks on the Southshore however, very seldom travel to the Northshore because we hate to make that drive.
