Interior Designer needs YOUR help--pics!

So I'm a new designer that is learning some 3d software. I will be entering the project into the local fair. I could really use your help in helping me narrow down the chair color options for this project. I know this isn't residential work, but I believe that color knows no boundaries! Thank you in advance for your opinion.

So which chair color/fabric do you like for the two chairs in front (shown in leopard print)?

Here's one of the shots of the room:

Different shot of the room. It sort of doesn't matter because I'll only be showing the one pic above but I am trying to stay within the colors of the room.

My vote for A. The orange with leopard is not hitting home in the picture which I am finding odd. I would think orange would work best. Maybe it's the shade or orange or the lighting.

I'd do them in all red, seat and body. What are those purple masses, tables ?
what is their real color ?

I like Option D the best.

I agree with mitchdesj, all red would be my vote too.

My vote is for Option D but with red cushions as well.

Another vote for all-red chairs. Picks up the tone of the installation over the bar area.

Yes, red, but a very brick-toned red, in a thick, sturdy, velvety fabric, with a pattern woven in (a diamond grid, or a big dot, or a modern damask pattern, perhaps), so that they make sense with the brick wall at the back, and have texture of their own.

Alternatively, if you want to stay with leopard, I'd do the seats in a rich, deep bitter chocolate brown with black-brown cording. My first choice for fabric would be low-pile mohair velvet, which wears like iron; failing that, a really good mixed cotton-poly velvet. Something suede-like would be lovely, too, but in a public place the patterns left by people coming and going become problematic. I'd choose dark brown to let the leopard dominate, and give the chairs more elegance.

jerseygirl- that was my initial choice and the one that goes into the video animation I have made. I'm still torn between that one and one with some orange.

mitchdej- the purple table tables are light up tables they make for bars. They are actually a dark purple color but the glow applied to them makes them a bright magenta like color.

rboyz2,rjinga,chiommy and teacats- I can see why you like the orange, I like it too. I'm just wondering if it's a little overwhelming and draws attention from the orange dance floor above the floor.

bronwynsmom-I'll try that combo in a sec.

Thank you everyone! I'm going to put on more options.

All orange-red. The reason I didn't show it before is it's little overpowering. I'll see about adjusting the lighting etc.

    Chocolate brown idea:

bronwynsmom- had to add that I love mohair velvet. It's on the gray chairs. Not sure about the hardiness (may crush after time) but considering this is a virtual budget with a limitless budget, I went for it.

Now that I understand what the tables do, I'd like to change my opinion! I'm not liking the leopard and brown any more.
I think the chairs have to work with the purple/pink tables, and with the light that they will throw onto the chairs.

I am now voting for rich deep purple, headed very slightly more toward red than blue, with the same kind of deeply textured pattern I liked for the brick red. You would then get an enhancement of the color with the tables on, and something a bit more subtle with them off...and you would get some play of light and shadow in the pattern.

I really prefer the leopard print over the solid chairs. The pattern brings just a touch of funkiness to the room that I think is really cool. I like the seats done in a chocolate brown or the dark blue pictured above.

Aunt Jen you stole my answer I agree with you, cover the entire chair in leopard.
I went to an elegant restaurant here in Birmingham several years ago and their booths were covered in solid leopard and it was stunning. Talk about decadance. Your room is gorgeous too, there's something about leopard that just screams elegance.

    Good luck to you!

My vote is still for the blue. Maybe you can try a different shade of orange on the seats.

Here's the purple, still looking for an interesting pattern. I'm sorta sad to let the leopard print go, but it seems like a solid color might not compete so much with the brick. I'm still working on the lighting to brighten it a bit but I think it's a winner!
Thank you everyone for your thoughts, clearly, there are more options that will work in this space.

Kind of late to the party here but I like the leopard with anything rather than solid chairs.....the solid chairs remind me of being in a Club Room at a major airport. Let's curl up and wait for that next flight.... This establishment seems to be going for a bit edgy with the light tables, the ceiling lights, chrome, and dance floor etc. It does not strike me as trying to achieve "soothing".....I would like to see a brighter cushion - the blue is nice but again, too sleepy, I like the reds and purples .....did you consider a real intense jewel tone green? (not a jungle look but a royal look with the leopard) Love the brick......is this a real room or is it computer generated? There is a lot goin' on in this room, why not go for it with color and the print.....those tables are strong but they don't want to be lonely in there.

Oh dear, those are some valid points lv r golden. I was trying for moody and funky (it is a bar and nightclub). The purple is definitely moody, but probably not funky. Maybe the answer is leopard and purple. I've thought about green but didn't want to introduce yet another color.
btw, this is a computer generated project. I like the brick too, it took me forever to get it to look "right."

I like the red one. It's looks attractive and it's a good virtual interior design color.

    leopard & brown or black...
for some reason I like how it ties in the bricks.
    Good luck!

My seond vote is now purple. I like the solid purple chairs also but I have to agree it's not edgy.

I like the purple - the other colors just didn't go with the glow tables. Are they really that bright in real life? They look almost fluorescent pink and that tone just didn't go with the red, toned down blue etc.

If the feel of the room is more on the leopard print - dark colors then can you change out the purple glow tables? Those tables make if feel like a disco, so I think if those tables are a non changeable item, then you need to complement them and use more colorful fabrics.

Another vote for the leopard/ purple combo. It's a very dynamic design, good luck with it!

I like the leopard and purple too!!!!

I see what you mean about adding a color - I thought the cool blue under the bar was a "color" but I think it is downlights - is that right? I was thinking jewel green to keep with the color under the bar.....the purple is nice. The space could handle (IMHO) the liveliness and pop of both cool and warms and variety of colors. Kind of chic/hip urban like you might see in SF or NYC.

Do you have to decide if this would only be seen in artificial light or if it would be a daylight place as well? Fun project, looks good. Best of luck in the competition.

Do you have a website of your work? I remember you are in my area of CA.

Yay for leopard and purple. Seriously, this forum is a great place where people can come together and collaborate on projects. I was scared at first to do the leopard because it seems like there's lots of people who don't like the look of animal print. They don't appear to be here, though!:) So, it's funny because a guy came up and told me that that's the kind of bar that serves appletinis. I laughed and I have to agree. So lets share some! I'm handing everyone an virtual appletini, thanks for your help:)

lv r golden- You pinned the look I was going for unbelievably well! Incidentally, the skyline is in San Fransisco I believe. I love the mix of cool and warm colors and in this space, it was hard because of it's size and openness.
Considering this is just a concept bar and nightclub, I only really planned for it's look at night time. One day, when I'm a famous designer, I'll have it made:)
This design is only going to be judged on the rendering, rather than the design of the space.
I don't have a website yet but it's my next stop.
So considering your eye for design, do you happen to be a designer as well?
