New Pool Build Houston Area South

I've learned so much from looking at pictures of and reading about other pools being built on this forum that I want to share mine. Hopefully this will also be of help to others.

We signed on June 9. A mere 2 1/2 months later (today at 7:30 am) the digging began. Quote from my 8 year old son at approximately 8:30 am, "Either they're stuck or they're building another pool in our front yard...." Yes, we have almost as much of a mess in our front yard as we do in the back.

I'll post the details in the future. If anyone in the Houston area has Stonescapes Mini Tahoe Blue that would be willing to let me come see it, I would greatly appreciate it! We are planning on using that but I'm getting cold feet... some of the pictures I've seen show a strong green tint to the water. I want it to look natural but not too too green. Any opinions or feedback would be welcome.

Is that a Trendmaker Home? Back Porch lay-out looks familiar....
Pool construction (like home construction) is a messy process - kind of like making sausage. It's not so pleasant to watch being done, but when it is finished, the end product is great. I wouldn't worry too much about the front yard and such. They'll fix it up before it's all said and done.

Digging was completed on Friday evening about 5 minutes prior to a downpour. So we had about a foot of water in the pool and a nice mud pit in the front. The errosion of the walls was a little scary to see...

The rebar team came in around 9 on Saturday morning. It was very impressive to watch them bend steel rods and shape the pool based on the drawing. Here are some pictures of the steel:
