Progress Pics; almost done!

First. Sorry about the poor quality pics. Our camera is 'missing' so I used my phone.

Cabinets are 98% done. Still need a couple of touch ups around the microwave shelf, .... Nice to have the countertops in, plumbing done, range operating, .....

Granite: It is called Giallo Imperial but it is basically New Venetian Gold. We really like the blend of whites, tans and gold and also the garnet specks. It is natural and warm and gives the stone a lot of 'texture.' We were sold on white quartz until we saw this granite in a show home with dark cabinets and then we changed our minds. We are very happy with our choice.

Backsplash: We are planning on going with a cream colored subway tile of some kind to brighten things up a bit (possibly glass). We hope to choose it in the next week or so then we can get it up and also get the range hood installed. We love the look of the Kitchen Aid 36" dual fuel range. After we get the backsplash and hood, and french doors to the patio installed I will do one more post with better quality pictures.

Wow! That is 1000% better than your old one. Looks so good. I'd love to see the uppers in the corner b/w the fridge and range a bit better. It looks like you didn't do a standard corner upper. Looking forward to the final reveal!

very classy..like the long pulls used throughout..gives consistency and plays off the darker wood stain for visual interest.The floor is gorgeous..?maple?

Thanks. Yes the floors are solid maple (natural with satin finish). Despite being VERY careful we put some small grooves in it in a couple spots from moving the appliances around, but I guess that is the down side with wood..... I doubt anyone will ever notice but I know they are there!
We ended up with kind of a dead corner beside the fridge (where it recesses to regular counter depth). The upper cabinet there is hinged so that it opens as an 'L' and wraps around the corner. The corner cabinet opposite does the same. It is a little different, but personally I prefer the look without the angled corner cabinets.

I have to confess, though, I liked your "Before" camera better! :P

Dark and dreamy, new and shiny! I like the layout so much better without the pantry in the corner...
