I learned about Kraus sinks on this site. They are great reviews on here, and I found the cost for my SS 30" farmhouse very reasonable on expressdecor.com. i haven't installed it yet, but it is gorgeous!! I will be posting some pix next weekend once the cabinets are in!

You may fine that single-bowl, undermounted sinks run a bit smaller in overall dimension. This one is 28" wide. It is from Soci and our granite fabricator represented the line. Other measurements are 16" x 10" deep and 15 guage.

I just received my Kraus 32" SS undermount sink from Overstock.com. The sink is beautiful. I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sink and the price was fantastic. It won't be installed until the middle of June so I won't really know how it will be. But it looks and feels fantastic. I looked at the more expensive sinks but the high cost made me look at the Kraus and Overstock's price made the final decision. It was delivered in three days and was packed perfectly. I am very happy with my purchase.

I am trying to decide between a Franke worktop with built in compost container and colander and a Julien worktop model 4081 - great looking with a raised back and holders for knives, scrubbers, etc. I've received some positive feedback re the Julien 16 gauge, but have the same concrns as donnaamy re the finish. Franke seems shiny while Julien not so much and I'm planning on chrome faucets. Any thoughts?

It sounds like lilybean2 and I have the same sink. I agree with her on the looks and quality. Mine is not installed yet either. I purchased it from expressdecor.com for $318 total.

I probably ordered lilybean's exact sink; it's sitting unopened in the garage; first purchase is here! I would have happily bought any 16 gauge sink by Kraus, Franke (what I had in the last house), Ticor, or a few others. I wanted a traditional radius, as square-y things are not my look, and an offset drain. Many would have made me happy, and >$400 was perfect!

A lot of people on here like Ticor. Check them out at overstock.com & galaxytoolsupply.com. That is what I am planning on buying for my sink. They are much cheaper than Elkay

I think that it's all about what works for you, the scope of you project, and your budget.

We ended up with a Franke that we love. I really had my heart set on a Kraus, though. DH wanted the Franke because he could "touch and test it before it came home."

Julien. Love it. Have chrome faucet and soap dispenser. Sink definitely not as shiny as the chrome, but that has never once bothered us.

I have an Oliveri. I love this sink. My granite installer
uses this brand but before I agreed I did a search and
liked what I learned. You can have one in any shape or
style made. Mine is an undermount.

We used MRDirect Inc. for just a standard double bowl 16 gauge with center drain. They have all kinds of styles.

Thank you everyone! It's refreshing to hear many postive comments. Doesn't sound like anyone is unhappy with their purchase. I too want to touch and feel the sink before purchase but hard to pass up the great internet deals. Off to shop...

I have the Franke GNX11028 because I really wanted that corner drain. Love that feature. It not only makes it easier to wash things, but leaves more room down below in the cab. I got it thrown in with my appliances.

Kohler Stages 45. Love my sink. I do need to tell you that I considered an Oliveri, as Boxer shows. The sinks are beautiful IRL. I went w/ the Stages for it's versatility.

rjr220, what size base cabinet did you install the 45? Do you have photo's of the inside of the cabinet with the sink in place?

I have a Franke Orca. Love, love, love it. I bought it especially for its ledge that allows me to have a drain grid on the right-hand side. I always keep it there to dry hand-washed items and slightly damp plastics from my dishwasher. I can soak large items flat even with the right-hand grid in place. If I ever need to wash anything walrus-sized, easy enough to remove the grid.
