Whew, all done!

Last night I finished taking out all the basting pins and snipping all the threads on a quilt for a dear friend to give to her only granddaughter as she graduates from H.S. They leave on Wed. to fly to Chicago for the graduation so I just finished in time. I started it the end of April and was kind of sweating it out as the time drew closer to see if I would have it done on time. My dear friend never said a word, and never pressured me. It was such a good feeling to deliver it to her this morning and now I have to do some major cleaning because, in all honesty, with a choice of sewing or cleaning, especially on a project with a deadline, I'll take the sewing anyday, but DH has a group meeting at our house tomorrow night, so now I must clean like the wind! (Maybe a good strong wind would blow away most of the stuff I need to clean and help me out!) It is always a good feeling to have a quilt finished, but I must confess, the last couple of weeks I've been itching to start the next one and I don't even know what it will be! So many patterns, so little time! But for now, it is a giant exhale that the quilt for my friend is done. Just had to share with you all since you would understand. Thanks.
