Lunch was fresh fruit salad, orange rolls

Shrimp with molded grits and a yummy white sauce, green beans

Dessert: pecan topped bread pudding

There were 640 of us for the luncheon.

Paula was a hoot. Shared from time her parents died, to divorce and new marriage.

Her new daughter-in-law was there, as well.

Great pictures, Glenda, sounds like a really nice afternoon I saw Paula's daughter in law on tv once, I remember how pretty she was, but then her sons are pretty nice too!

I have been so busy today, but I thought about your post and how much fun you must be having,
and sure enough you were.

She just appears to be such a real, southern lady! Thanks for the pictures (she is so pretty.)

How lucky you were to see her in person and hear her story! I've always enjoyed her cooking show. She seems to be such a nice lady. Good to see pictures of you, as well! I enjoy your posts on these forums.

Thank you for sharing this and the pics Glenda. I can't imagine having lunch with that many people. Sounds like the food as well as Paula were delightful. Were thos Orange Rolls as good as AllSteak's in Cullman?

Good for you Glenda. Tell me again where the luncheon held.

I would love to see Paula. Candice Olson from HGTV's Divine Design was in town two weeks ago for three workshops. I couldn't get into anyone of them.

Mustang, it was held at The Club, atop Red Mtn here.
It was a benefit for Hanna Home, an organization that supports needy families.
And, yes, it held all 640 of us.

ah--i was wondering how that went! thanx for posting those pics. i can only imagine how much fun that was for you and your friends! if she is anything like the way she appears on her show, i can imagine being at an event with her was just wonderful--glad you got to go the the luncheon!

What a wonderful experience!!!

I bet it rates right up there with the 10 best outside of the family moments in your life!!

It really would be so special to see her, but to eat and enjoy the whole afternoon.. fantastico!!!
