Looking for Warm Windows help!

I am getting ready to make a curtain for a large (roughly 100" wide) window using Warm Windows. Don't want to make a Roman shade style covering, as I think that it would be too much weight to open and close on a daily basis. Warm Windows has terrific directions on their website for making either style, so think I can manage to make curtains that can be pulled or drawn to the side. My question for those of you with experience with this product is this: Can you quilt your decorative fabric onto the Warm Windows, or do you have to follow the directions and only stitch it along the outer seams? Will the additional stitching compromise the product's ability to insulate in some way? Any concerns I should have about doing this? Thanks for any help/hints that you have to offer!
