First September Finish

Still needs a label though.

I tried putting these in photo bucket to make multiple posts. Don't know if it's my connection causing a problem or what, but I couldn't make it work! So sorry for the multiple posts.

Love the colors -- and your quilting is extraordinary! Very modern feel to this quilt.
Did you use a pattern? This looks like it would be a good quilt to use a layer cake. I always seem to struggle finding a good pattern. I really like this one! You did a great job.
    Congrats on a finish!

    Green! My favorite color!

It's for my son. He picked the pattern while we were traveling in Vermont over a year ago. It was great, but the prints were all floral. I was a bit worried about the geometrics mixed with vines and leaves, but I hope he'll like it. He lives in Connecticut and we'll be delivering it next month.

The pattern is Toe the Lime, by Janine Burke for Blue Underground Studios, Inc.

I think the quilting really fits with the colors of the quilt. It looks like nature with all the different greens. You did a great job.

Love your quilt and it's colors, very modern. And the intricate leaf quilting is beautiful. TFS!

    Best to you,

Very nice! I like the colors a lot, too. (In fact I have a kit for a different pattern in lime, black and gray. )

Was this an easy to put together quilt? Or was there some planning etc. It is very effective.

I had bought so many fabrics it started to overwhelm me. My solution was to cut lots of the size called for and just start sewing them into the blocks. I used many more fabrics than it called for. The process was really quick, but the decisions for positioning always take me a while. I stand on a ladder over the bed and try various solutions. My design wall is too short.

I'd say for most people it's a quick quilt. Nothing is very fast for me.

Be careful on that ladder. Just saying...

I hear that. Even after reading it here I stepped off hard on the bottom step once from the step ladder while concentrating on the quilt, not the ladder.
