I've used white appliance paint years ago in an apartment that I rented. It looked like a new fridge.

We had brown appliances in a previous home. We had them painted black and they looked great and held up very well. They still looked good when we sold the house 5 years later. We paid a company to spray them using an electrostatic process. As I understood it, they put a slight charge on the appliance and the paint has the opposite charge so the paint is attracted only to the appliance. They did it right in our kitchen with no problems whatsoever. It was very interesting to watch and was not expensive. This was a house we knew we were going to sell shortly so it was a good economic option.
