We are in the middle of a whole house remodel (Colonial House), while trying to live in the house at the same time. It's been stressful to say the least.

I thought that progress would make me feel better, however, the opposite has happened. The contractor began to install the door and window casing and I am not happy with it. It's much more detailed than I realized. I think it looks to busy. I feel sick about it, almost half the house is done, so tearing it out is not an option. Fortunately, I love the baseboard and crown (much simpler design).

My husband seems to think that once it's all painted and the furniture back in the house, I won't notice it as much. Is there anything I can do to make the trim less busy?
