Go for the gold! I think you really can use any materials or colors together as long as they are done with intention and thought. There is nothing worse than clashing finishes that are trying to match. If you use the gold mirror, which I fully support, I would go with a gilded and really ornate antique mirror to contrast the minimal lines of the Wassily Chair. Whatever you decide, we would love to see the photos.
